Bro. Joe Brice PM of Lodge Ugie No.939 will be undertaking a sponsored Trek next year in the Himalayas in aid of local charities.

Joe will be heading off from Lukla at a height of 2,800 metres or 9,186 ft and from there he will head to Everest Base camp through a number of towns and villages some of them at higher altitudes and some lower as part of the acclimatisation process, eventually arriving at Everest base camp some 8 days later at a height of 5,320 metres or 17,450 ft above sea level.

He will stop over one night at base camp and then trek back out, which will be somewhat quicker, then fly back to Kathmandu.

Joe will be distributing his sponsorship monies between four charities – C.L.A.N. Fighting for Sight, Grampian Child Bereavement Society, and Mintlaw Cancer Self Help Group.

This is again quite an undertaking for the ex Para and I hope many in our communities will find a way of sponsoring Joe in his grand efforts in helping those in our society less fortunate than ourselves.

If you would like to sponsor Joe or would like to help in any way you can –  please contact Joe by email at; jbricek2@aol.com
