TRUMP CHALLENGING SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT – 12th April 2013

TRUMP CHALLENGING SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT – 12th April 2013
Well it has happened; Mr Donald Trump, 725 Fifth Avenue New York is taking the Scottish Government to court.
Let’s look at this seriously;
We have an American businessman who comes to Scotland to start a business, obviously he wants to make money and as Mr Trump will always want to make lots of money then his advisors will attempt to think ahead in all aspects.
They bought the Menie estate in Aberdeenshire around 2006 and during their buying stages they must have made land checks etc…for existing planning etc…they would have found that in 2002 the windfarm company had placed plans to supply eventually around 50,000 families. Let us not forget either that the original plans made by the Trump organisation were turned down around 2007/8.

So we have a company who placed their plans for a windfarm in 2002 and another company wishing to stop their plans in 2007 – how crazy is that?

Let us tell you now Mr Trump;
publicity is one thing, but in this case your likely to get your bottom skelpit. It would be a much better idea if you could accept the inevitable. It was such a shame to see your presentation to the Scottish windfarm committee where you made it obvious you are taking this personally and you have an axe to grind with the Scottish people.
In a recent interview you said you were continuing your action for the Scottish people – let’s get one thing straight – YOU DO NOT REPRESENT OR SPEAK FOR ME!!!

TRUMP’S APPEARANCE BEFORE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE

TRUMP’S APPEARANCE BEFORE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE

The full meeting shows arguments from both sides. It’s interesting how the Trump organisation are shown to blatantly lie about whether they actually knew about the Windfarm BEFORE they even bought the land area called the Menie estate.

The video also shows that the Windfarm plans had been placed in 2002 yet the Trump organisation bought the land four years, YES FOUR YEARS after this – did they not have a normal planning search made before purchase?

The Trump organisation took with them an odd band consisting of characters who obviously had other personal agenda’s and if anything made the argument for no windfarms worse as these personal agenda’s sort of got in the way of the argument for or against windfarms.

Make up your own mind whether you think Trump has the interest of Scotland forefront;

FREE COFFEE AND SANDWICH IF YOUR NEEDY

FREE COFFEE AND SANDWICH IF YOUR NEEDY.

They wanted to the tell the world they were a charitable organisation even though we and everyone else knew they were full of it, now they are offering a charitable service to whom they think are NEEDY!

Who exactly determines what NEEDY means? What exactly determines what level poor starts.

Will the person under trial by poverty to get a free cup of coffee and a free sandwich reserved for the poor be cancelled out if only two kind customers have paid double or extra for someone to get a free coffee and a free sandwich and 50 customers who are classed as NEEDY turn up looking for free coffee and a sandwich every day?

This is yet another new hair-brain scheme to hoodwink people out of hard earned to donate money to pay for a coffee and sandwich to other inchgarth users who are deemed to be in NEED, how would inchgarth know who can afford it or not plus how would this work in practice, one gets it one day comes back the next expecting it again to be told no-one has donated today so tough luck you either have to pay for it or leave now!

Lets examine this concept further,

Will it be means tested? Will this mean a home visit and form filling the same as the welfare state brand poor families? Who in inchgarth validates who is in need or greater need? Will the needy have to prove they are indeed entitled to the free coffee? Will the poor have to turn out their pockets? Will Inchgarth be handing out freebie tickets or will they get a swipe card? It’s a recipe for stigmatisation.

This is what happens when people with no formal qualifications dreams up stupid ideas.

It was reported today that Councillor Ian Yuill who is obviously backing this nutcase idea could not wait to buy a fair-trade coffee yet there was no mention of him Donating money for the NEEDY?

Inchgarth is hard to find but we will give you directions and a map so if your in NEED get your FREE Coffee and Sandwich of-course you may have to prove your in need so maybe they will have the forms for you to fill out just don’t turn up with your own transport…!

free coffee and sandwich for the needy Aberdeen picture

It was also reported that most of the plasma TV’s have been fitted but they are up 9 feet up on wall and you could only see the screens if your standing up or behind the café bar which was fitted by Caber Coffee Ltd which opens more questions than answers and the question we have repeatedly asked BAA Trust Fund, is the  best idea they could come up with for any community group or charity?

This idea started on facebook of all places by people thinking they were good doers but failed to understand the dynamics of such stupidity, all that happens to the place offering it will increase their cash-flow and their profits, if its working great inchgarth could perhaps let us all know how many donate and how many needy receive such benefits besides coffee is the not very nutritional as far as any beverage goes and shows its a daft idea just like having lots of plasma TV’s dotted around a wall every ten feet away, there used to be a place in Aberdeen that done this called video-plex most of its regulars ended up with sore heads and strained eyes and the place went bust yet another stupid idea.

You have to ask about the type of people in the BAA trust fund who thinks this is money well spent?

In the picture provided by yesterdays evening express there was space for around 20 covers, there was 5 plasma screens that you can make out so if twenty people were there at once all seated thats 1 TV for four customers most could not see the screens because of the angles but its OK because its the council who picks up the tab for the waste of electricity being used, yes another stupid gimmick that provides no service or gains and another stupid idea, yet BAA says this was the best use of the funds, who are they kidding?

The local rag also claimed they had extended their hours but had they researched their own report they may have discovered inchgarth had in fact reduced their operational hours as last year they got paid thousands in grants to stay open to keep the youths of the streets more money for nothing culture here!

If they are so bothered about the needy why don’t they just become an official registered charity and give out coffee and sandwiches out for free 3 days a week instead of this stupid ill thought out idea.

People are telling us Caber Coffee paid for the coffee bar and supply at cost the products and its a franchise can inchgarth confirm if this is true?

If its true then this may mean its a sub let can inchgarth confirm this?

Can inchgarth tell us how many needy people they have helped since they started suspended coffee sales and who decides within the centre who is deemed to be needy?

How many of our readers thinks this was money well spent?

CHANCELLOR PANDERS TO POVERTY MYTHS

CHANCELLOR PANDERS TO POVERTY MYTHS

OSBORNE ACCUSED OF REINFORCING STEREOTYPES

Scottish National Party spokesperson for Work and Pensions Dr Eilidh Whiteford MP has accused Chancellor George Osborne of pandering to poverty myths and reinforcing negative stereotypes of those on benefits, in the week the UK Government’s Welfare Reform has been introduced.

In the Chancellor’s speech this week and in further comments, Mr Osborne:

·         reinforced the idea that those on benefits have an ‘easy life’, with references to claimants’ lack of incentive to get a job. Yet research shows the experience of living on a low income is one of constant struggle to manage limited resources, with small events having serious consequences. Statistics show that the poorest spend their money carefully, limiting themselves to the essentials.
·         said that in 2010 alone, payments to working age families cost £90 billion, and that was ‘one reason why we’ve got such a big deficit.’ However the proportion of our tax bills spent on welfare has remained stable for the last 20 years.
·         complained that people on disability benefits don’t get counted as unemployed, however the number of people claiming out-of-work benefits because of sickness or disability has steadily decreased since the mid-1990s,  whilst the severity of the claimants’ conditions have in turn increased.
·         refers to welfare dependency as being entrenched from one generation to the next, however evidence suggests that in less than 0.1% of the 20 million working age households in the UK there are 2 generations that have never had a permanent job. The numbers of such families, if any exist, are so small that no survey has yet been able to detect the much cited three generations of worklessness.

 Dr Whiteford said:

“George Osborne’s comments show just how out of touch with the real world he is. The Chancellor’s speech hid the complexity of the true nature of poverty in the UK – which his Tory austerity agenda is increasing – and reinforces negative, harmful stereotypes. And this is happening at the same time as people at the top are gaining from an income tax cut.

“Mr Osborne’s speech was full of ill-informed assumptions, not based on facts or research. Meanwhile our poorest and most disadvantaged citizens are bearing the brunt of the Tory/Lib Dem coalition’s austerity measures.

“We need a welfare system that reflects Scotland’s values, helps working families and protects the most disadvantaged people – and a fairer welfare system for Scotland can only be achieved with a Yes vote in September 2014. A clear majority of people in Scotland already want decisions on taxation, benefits and pensions to be taken by Holyrood rather than Westminster, where our MPs have little ability to prevent such damaging measures as the iniquitous Bedroom Tax.”

IDS GETS HIS 500,000 TARGET

IDS GETS HIS 500,000 TARGET?

Ian Duncan Smith is about to get the kicking of his life as the petition to raise 500,000 signatures he claims is a stunt is about to back fire big time, he has claimed he was unemployed twice and can live on 53 quid per week if he had to well he’s now less than a day away from having to prove it as the magical 500,000 target is about to be reached.

So what happens if he ignores the peoples wishes, nothing, other than being forever known as a man with no morals or worth and should offer a retraction saying he was sorry for being so stupid in the first place.

They shouted loud when 300,000 turned up a square in Cairo and claimed it was time for that government to go they have a bigger population so if 500,000 asked a simple question you would expect IDS to do it or FOREVER shut up?

This whole saga proves the Government is out of touch with the people and only strengthens the SNP call for independence as nothing they do in the future can be worse than this!

If you want to add your name to the 500,000 time is running out;.

SNP COMMENT ON OSBORNE SPEECH

SNP COMMENT ON OSBORNE SPEECH
Commenting on George Osborne’s Welfare Reform speech, SNP Work and Pensions Spokesperson Dr Eilidh Whiteford MP said:
“The Chancellor’s speech today had the right-wing rhetoric, but George Osborne fails to grasp the realities of his welfare reform. Our poorest and most disadvantaged are bearing the brunt of the Tory/Lib Dem coalition’s austerity measures.
“As the Bedroom Tax comes into force, 105,000 households across Scotland will lose an average of £600 a year.  Working age benefits rises will be cut in real terms for the next three years, which will reduce the total income of Scottish households by around £210 million by 2014-15. Child benefit is frozen for the third year in a row, and Scotland’s council tax budget will be cut by 10% – a cut which the Scottish Government and Cosla are making good from their limited resources.
“We need a welfare system which reflects Scotland’s values, helps working families and protects our most disadvantaged people. A fairer welfare system for Scotland can only be achieved with a Yes vote in 2014. We need our welfare policies to be decided in the Scottish Parliament rather than Westminster, where our MPs have little ability to prevent such damaging measures.”
