Monthly Archives: July 2014

I was eleven, and still marvelled at everything around me. Scotland had absolutely hundreds and hundreds of job opportunities for every type of personal future.

Although Scotland had practically full employment for those that wanted to work (ie; ten jobs for each and every person looking for work) it was at that early age I realised that Scotland was mainly a working class nation.

It was at that time my mind was pushed towards the Labour party as they seemed to be all in favour of Scotland’s working class population. Unfortunately the Labour Party took a completely different turn just after the Wilson government (Labour).

Since then Scotland has went into a nosedive towards total deprivation in every walk of life with no brakes on.

Independence in Scotland has to be implemented so that we can step back from the brink of total destruction and remove the deprivation from our inner cities and larger towns, it seems that wherever we go there are boards covering once prosperous and busy business’s.

Scotland has been subjected to continued cuts every year for the last fifty plus years that I can remember.

We have also been told for over fifty years we will have to tighten our belts – from every single political party sitting n Westminster – none of us knew at that time the type of finances those in that faraway place were being paid as it would have been labelled as nothing more than an obscenity – today it is still a disgrace but we have been brainwashed into thinking they deserve it.

We ar now being told that the NHS is being dismantled in England, this is a scary thought considering all of the last fifty years has been about keeping our National Health Service which has always been labeled as the best in the World, nothing has changed, so surely this is good? Most of us have a true heart-warming story to tell about how well they had been treated in hospital or how they remember well the day that their little boy or girl came along – have you seen how the people are treated in the U.S.? or should that be NOT treated?

The NHS in Scotland must be preserved at all costs so that our future citizens are secure in the knowledge that if they turn ill, or are involved in an accident they do not have to worry about where the money is coming from to pay for it.

When I was growing up it was well known that the action party was the Labour party – this can no longer apply, in fact they can no longer complain in Westminster if the opposition suggest anything radical, such as the bedroom tax or forcing poor people to visit food banks. The Labour party in England have turned into a joke.

The Tory party was always classed as the “privatise everything party”, and all there bluster was usually about simple rhetoric which cost nothing said nothing unless their party members were going to make money or they had a seat on a particular board or business. Little has changed for them except they have now been so radical and greedy they have forced the poor and the disabled into a corner into which they cannot get out of. These present Westminster suits would not know poverty if it hit them on the nose – considering they get £39 expenses for a breakfast, surely this tells the intelligent that we are being controlled by out of touch morons. The Tory party in it’s present state are dangerous.

Today Scotland stands on the brink of a solid secure future where people will care for each other (it cannot go any other way, because of where we have been for the last fifty years) and families can be hopeful for the future of their children (this cannot be considered today as it is.) and their grandchildren – we must vote “YES”, to vote any other way in September is not only foolish it is suicide as I have partially explained.

Just remember this before you vote; the “YES”, campaign have been telling the truth all along – they do not need to tell lies, it is an open book and has been negatively written over the last fifty years for everybody to see and research.

Gardenstown Aberdeenshire

For those unsure Gardenstown locally called Gamrie (pronounced game-ri) sits on the North East coast of Scotland – the tiny tourist point which was made famous in the well know film, “Local Hero”.

Anyone who knows Richard O’Neill, Bill Fraser, Mark Wilson and Kevin Barclay also know they are dedicated supporters of Scottish independence.

But to underline the point, they decided to make a very big Yes statement that anybody visiting the picturesque fishing village of Gardenstown in Banffshire is unlikely to miss.

The foursome, armed with ordinary garden strimmers, have fashioned a giant Yes in the undergrowth on a hillside overlooking the coastal community.

And already it has become a must-see for tourists and para-gliders.

Richard, a North Sea oil worker who, like his three friends hails from Gardenstown, said: ‘We all want a Yes vote on 18 September. Shouting it from the rooftops is one thing – this is just taking it to another level. We wanted to make the biggest Yes yet!’

The four friends spent several hours cutting out the letters – the ‘Y’ is 25 metres tall – on the brae known locally as Mhor next to one of the oldest churchyards in Scotland. It’s beside the remains of the Church of St John the Evangelist, which was built in 1513 and celebrates the defeat of the Danes at this site in 1004 in the Battle of the Bloody Pits.

The “Yes” is just a short distance from the cliffs at Pennan, the village where the iconic film Local Hero was partly filmed in the early 1980s.

Richard said: “We are all dedicated Yes supporters. The North-east and the Highlands and Islands will have a quarter of the members of an independent Scottish Parliament compared to only 1% of parliamentarians at Westminster, between MPs and unelected Lords.

“So there’s no doubt that this part of Scotland will benefit hugely from a Yes vote and give us far more clout in terms of key industries such as oil and tourism that can ever be the case at Westminster.

“And having our own government will undoubtedly mean more power being devolved to other parts of the country. For us this is all about putting Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands and making our own decisions.”

The four friends – all volunteers for Yes Gamrie (the name of the old parish where the village sits) – intend to maintain the giant hillside Yes with regular outings with their strimmers.

Bill Fraser said: “Scotland’s full potential and growing ambition can only be realised with independence. Westminster will never put us first.”

Mark Wilson said: “Independence will provide a better future for your children and future generations. Who would not say Yes to that?”

Richard said: “It’s a bit of fun but it’s also a a very bold and deliberate statement. We have people who’ve heard about it coming here to Gardenstown to see the big Yes and para-gliders from all over the country are flocking here to get aerial shots.

“It’s helped put Gardenstown on the map and we hope that people who come to see our handiwork will follow up by putting their cross next to Yes on 18 September.”

I have been asked to point those readers under 18 where to go to fill in their voting form. You should do it soon “YES” voters – for no voters WHO ARE HAPPY TO SUPPORT THE DOWNFALL AND DESTRUCTION OF OUR NHS SERVICES it’s o.k. to leave it for six months yet..:)

Scotland on the verge of a new North Sea oil boom

Scotland on the verge of a new North Sea oil boom

A recent report by Sir Ian Wood concluded that North Sea oil can deliver a £200 billion injection into the Scottish economy over the next 20 years. The report – described as “the biggest independent review of the North Sea oil and gas industry in its history” – argued that reforms to exploration and production would vastly increase output. An independent Scotland, which mobilised such resources, would be well placed to generate far greater prosperity for people and business.

Yesterday the group outlined a plan to use unmanned buoys to produce oil and gas from the North Sea. Supporters state that this will bring more oil fields into production and reduce current costs.

In a wider context, there are three key factors which will influence the potential of North Sea oil resources: price, reserves and investment. All three areas suggest vast, untapped economic opportunities.

Report by Michael Gray – Business for Scotland.

Yet another investment in Scotland’s waters dated 4th of July 2014

Just another logical reason to vote “YES”., for self governance!

Energy firms to invest £340m developing major North Sea gas field

Two leading energy firms plan to invest £340m in a major North Sea gas field.

Total and partner firm DONG will spend the cash developing the Edradour field west of Shetland.

Production is set to begin in late 2017 and the field is expected to produce the equivalent of 17,000 barrels of oil a day.

Total’s senior vice president for exploration and production in northern Europe, Patrice de Vivies, said: “Total is establishing a new strategic hub in the west of Shetland area.

“The development was put on hold in 2013 due to significant cost increases, but negotiations with contractors have reduced the costs to an acceptable level, allowing us to successfully launch the project.”

Edradour is located around 45 miles north east of Shetland. Plans for the field include converting the existing discovery well into a production well and building a ten-mile production pipeline tied into the neighbouring Laggan-Tormore development.
From the STV news dated 3rd of July 2014

SCOTLAND – BLAIR JENKINS, the straight talking head of the “YES” campaign for Scotland’s Independence.

If you’ve never listened to this guy before you’ll soon realise why he was voted to head the “YES”, campaign for Scotland.

The better toblether campaign brings in the big guns.

Scotland’s stolen sea area by Westminster!

The better toblether campaign brings in the big guns.

The better to blether campaign against independence for Scotland brought out some of their big guns last night on Scotland Tonight STV.

They have now proven they really are out of touch with the Scottish referendum question, but things take a more serious note when you realise they No campaigners see the independence vote as a joke, why I hear you ask – well we heard that Kermit the muppit is against the “YES” vote, and then we were mentally assaulted by Mr; things are fantastic and the people love me and what I have given them, and this new purchase will be the best in the World the same as everything I do is the best in the World – you guessed it; the one and only D.Trump.

I would be the first to appreciate what Mr Trump has done in Scotland, but I wish he would tell the truth and tell all his imaginary wonderful people and his own imagination he is in it for the money.

He is against the “YES” vote, or as he put it; it’s nothing to do with me BUT I heard that the people would pay more tax –
/Quote from Robin McAlpine ;;Despite the mantra that tax cuts resolve economic concerns, writes Robin McAlpine, it’s only the rich who ever benefit./;in the Common Weal!

I say to him and any other imaginary self proclaimed advisors out there; let the people of Scotland decide on their own – keep your comments to yourselves as it is absolutely nothing to do with you – for over three hundred years Scotland has been treated to some of the most corrupt and evil ploys to keep Scotland within the union – and why? because Scotland is undoubtedly a cash cow to those who weild power in London.

You don’t need to be a mathamatical genius to work this out – for those who have the “YES” vote just ask yourself, can you remember any time in your life when Scotland has been visited by so many imaginary self proclaimed advisors from South of the border – using any excuse they can so that there is a possible chance to comment on the Independence vote.

I still wonder why anybody in Scotland would ever use a NO vote – why would anybody in Scotland vote against independence, our National Health Service is still intact in Scotland, no thanks to Westminster, in fact if the vote goes to NO, then it’s bye bye to the NHS as we know it, and it will be bye bye to free prescrition charges too – that reason alone is reason enough for a “YES” vote.

If there is a NO vote then you better hope you or your family never ever get sick or involved with a road traffic accident – in this awful scenario you better have a good insurance, and we all know insurance just loves paying out money – NOT! or should that be avoiding paying out money.

How about voting negative and then try and vote in someone whom you think will be good for your family – forget it; they don’t even need to count the Scottish voters, we do not matter South of the border – which has been obvious for years and only pushed into the light because of the Independence Scottish Vote on the 18th of Sept 2014.

If your still undecided about “YES”, you can always ask Kermit the muppit according to the Scottish Television evening political programme.
Something learned there; did you know Kermit the muppit was a Tory? Very strange for a wee hand puppet! Unless you consider all the muppits in Westminster are puppets!

fat cat image

Westminster Fat Cat

Let’s start with the Conservative government in power at present and stand up the culture secretary Maria Miller who continues to report unsubstantiated statements.

Whereas the website show copies of receipts which show true figures,
Ireland’s population of 4.6m (Republic alone) is very close to Scotland’s, so we have to assume Scotland would pay a roughly similar sum. Which leaves us with this:

In other words, an independent Scotland, if it charged the same licence fee as now, would be able to spend THREE TIMES as much on the SBC as the BBC will be doing on BBC Scotland if we vote No, and still have an extra £20m sitting in the coffers.

People taking note of the future of Scotland will remember the BBC in their wisdom stated that it may cost Scotland more when independent – this shows those particular comments to be nothing more than bias and gasbag garbage – the BBC did not consider the research of people close to Wings over Scotland.

O.K. another lie put to rest, so what about this little doozie then;
It was stated by one of these windbag Tories South of the border that Scotland has had every chance to vote for whom they like over the years – now how big a lie is that one, perhaps that same gasbag can enlighten us how when the whole of Scotland with a maximum of 9%, yes that is correct nine percent of the U.K. vote then how can we in Scotland possibly get who we vote for when South of the border always gets and always has gotten 91%??? Voters in Scotland may as well have sat at home year in year out watching the soaps.

O.K. another lie put to rest, so what about simple facts we know but are never mentioned;
did you know that £50 million was wiped off the Scottish budget without consultation and without remorse – well it’s true and again lets point the finger at the guilty in Westminster.

did you know that 91% of Scottish MPs voted against the bedroom tax – it mattered nowt for the Westminster cowboys as they introduced it anyway – is this not further proof that the people of Scotland are being caned by the public school boys without feeling any guilt.

Are you aware that if there is a no vote in September our Scottish NHS is going to go down the pan the same as in England – would it not be prudent for England to encourage our independence so that they had somewhere to go for their unexpected operations and road traffic accidents as it looks as if this is the only way in which they will be able to afford treatment – if we go down the slippery slope that is in the U.S. we are all in trouble – don’t forget the existing American President attempted to copy the U.K. system with regards to medical treatment, this was quickly shot down on Capital Hill by these huge drug company puppets.

Are you aware the Scottish Government decided a few years ago to ban charges for prescriptions – this was a great move!

Are you aware that the Scottish Government does not ask Scottish students to pay for their education – this too was a great move!

The piece de resistance is; did you know or are you fully aware that austerity (firm hardship) will be positively with those south of the border for another ten to fifteen years – that is 10 – 15 years.

If Scotland vote YES for independence this is the only chance the Scottish people may get of avoiding that long term nightmare of 15 years austerity – do we really want to go down this ridiculous road for another year let alone 15 years?

My vote is 100% for “YES” in September the 18th 2014 – I truly believe that you have to be either mad or mentally unstable to vote “no”, now that it is crystal clear what will happen with a negative vote.

If you care whether your children and grandchildren grow up in a caring society you will never ever vote for more of the same – it is blatantly obvious “no” voters do not understand the independence concept or simply do not care about their families or their nearest and dearest or they would be automatic “YES” voters.

Those suits in Westminster only care about their portfolio and have proven to the whole of U.K. and not only Scotland that people do not matter – 13 million out of 65 million are below the breadline – around a million are in Scotland, nobody has mentioned Wales or Ireland so the 13 million may well be underestimated as usual.

Food-banks have sprouted up as life savers for thousands while the likes of Ian D.Smith claim £39 for a breakfast – what kind of breakfast is worth £39? The majority of us buy an all day breakfast for around £1.99, on fact the £39 can buy nearly 20 all day breakfasts.

“YES”, voters; please save us from these evil parasites who are hell bent on cleaning the flesh from our bones – I would much rather be robbed in Scotland by Scottish MPs than robbed from a distance by greedy millionaires in Westminster.
