Can I just say what a relief to come across an individual who essentially knows what they're talking about on the internet. You definitely know easy methods to bring an problem to light and make it fundamental. A lot more people need to read this and have an understanding of this side of the story. I cant believe your not far more popular given that you definitely have the gift.

Inland Revenue welcome to the blog, very interesting thoughts and many is coming up with the same ideas.
Its very sad to think these people strikes so much fear into their local community that locals will tell us privately their thoughts but not openly on here.
One of the funniest comments came yesterday from an elderly lady when it was pointed out to us that the inchgarth program included peggys cafe around 5-10 times a day now there's a shocker! Buying a coffee is now part of the centre's programs how exciting and educational is that, BAA money well spent there then.

Maybe they get a sums lesson every time they buy a coffee and goes something like this; Thank you for the purchase out of the purchase price of one pound fifty the product costs us just six pence to produce two percent goes to bringing communities together not here in Aberdeen like it looks like we are claiming but coffee bean growers around the world its just convenient for us caber coffer had nice slogans we can use to project us better rather than having to prove it, oh and one pound forty one pence is clear profit to us as the council pays for all the other costs and we just take advantage of this all the time! lol

I have watched inchgarth developments for nearly 22 months ever since kaimhill information went live and started telling the locals just what was going on in Aberdeen.
There is no doubt if there ever was one that inchgarth community centre is not a community centre at all but a fully independent business and a fully subsidised one at that its crazy.
I can confirm as an ex tax expert NPO's can not employ people this centre can not be classed as such because it does.
There must be many fingers in the pies for this place not to be closed down and the sums of money involved must be of interest to the taxman which must be very close to knocking on the doors of this very successful Aberdeen business enterprise.
If they were not running expensive cafes no one would have noticed them but greed is a killer to all who tastes it.

Thank you for your comments Mr Wood.
I was meeting some Garthdee residents today handing out information leaflets and most were really amazed how much of their cash they had spent in the new cafe was going into profits, some were saying they thought that might be the reason local politicians are often seen there getting their freebies of beverages and food while the old had to pay the full prices for everything and never even get a discount of any kind unless the cafe is running a special when the centre is almost completely empty with no decent programs running!
Some were really amazed how most other centres offering better services provided free coffee and teas and they thought all community centres charge over the top prices for beverages.
It seems the centre is about making huge profits and like the manager said last year the management committee would have to find vast sums of money for his redundancy package, at least users know where it might be going to now!
We have been made aware the centres leaders have been instructed to make no comments as in the past they have only brought themselves into further distribute which we know is true as does our loyal readers.

Admin. You make the elementary error of thinking that the normal rules, regulations, practices and procedures, normally associated with a Council owned and funded establishment, could possibly apply to the regulatory twilight zone that is Inchgarth Community Centre. Senior figures within Aberdeen City Council, both elected members and employees, privately acknowledge, and have done so for some considerable time, that there is one law for Inchgarth and another for the rest of us. Sadly, none of them have had the courage to speak out publicly or to instigate disciplinary proceedings, leading many informed observers to wonder what it s that Mr O'Connor has on them.
This latest scandal in which a private company, in this case BAA, donated £50,000 so that Inchgarth could close one purpose built cafe, paid for by the public and funded by the tax payer, with a much smaller cafe, similarly funded by the tax payer and which has been squashed into the main corridor within the Centre, thereby creating all manner of health and safety issues, is beyond belief.
This latest cafe scam, in which Mr Paul O'Connor seeks to justify calling it a "learning hub" by inviting people to, for example, to walk round Garthdee with their baby buggies, at Sainsbury's expense, prior to possibly spending £1.50 each for a cup of coffee in the new cafe, presumably having scoured the neighbourhood for "young people" or "needy" people, who look as though they might benefit from a free coffee, whilst, incidentally, adding another £1.46 per cup to the bulging Inchgarth offers is the best yet.
Aberdeen City Council are knowingly funding an extremely profitable private business, run by individuals whose serious misconduct has been known to them for several years, whilst turning a blind eye and, in some cases, applauding, encouraging and participating in such misconduct.
What are other retail outlets in Garthdee, those who have to pay their own rates, heating, lighting, electricity, gas etc to think when one businessman can arrange for his local council to pay all of these bills on his behalf. Even Starbucks, who have much in common with Inchgarth in that they also declare themselves to be non profit making to avoid paying tax, must be casting envious eyes towards Peggy's 2. After all, Starbucks make only a small percentage profit from each suspended coffee whilst Inchgarth pocket 95% and still boast that they are God's gift to philanthropy.
I predict a new breakfast menu within the latest cafe, with lots and lots of egg on face for some and possibly even some porridge for the more pro- active of the disciples.

This is what inchgarth is saying about the free coffee offers!

We will run the " suspended coffee" initiative. This is where people have the opportunity to pay for additional coffees or snacks for those less fortunate in society so they can have a free coffee or snack. There are people and families truly struggling in society today, more than most people appreciate. It's project allows you , for just one pound, to do a good deed and pay for someone else to have a coffee on you. A truly wonderful and heartening initiative where we all do our bit to help.
